Alabang is a barangay in the Muntinlupa City, Philippines. At one time the area was a farming district, and has since grown from a village to a commercial center, including the Alabang Commercial Center and Filinvest City. It is also near the Madrigal Business Park. It is 8.064 square kilometers. A large portion of Ayala Alabang came from Barangay Alabang

Brgy. Ayala Alabang Muntinlupa

Ayala Alabang is the third largest barangay in Muntinlupa City, Philippines in terms of land area. A large portion of it came from Barangay Alabang. Its land area of 6.949 km2 (2.683 sq mi) includes Alabang Town Center, Ayala Alabang Village, El Molito, and Madrigal Business Park. Barangay Ayala Alabang is located around 13 miles (21 km) south of the capital Manila.

Barangay Ayala Alabang was created by Batas Pambansa Bilang 219 on March 25, 1982. It was originally a part of Barangay Alabang. It was separated from Barangay Alabangand "constituted into a distinct and independent barangay" named Barangay New Alabang by Batas Pambansa Bilang 219 which was passed and approved on March 25, 1982. The name was changed to Barangay Ayala Alabang in November 2003, after the public hearing conducted by the City Government of Muntinlupa for this purpose.

Alabang is one of the premier business district not only in the south but also in Metro Manila. A home of Northgate Cyberzone of Filinvest, Ayala Alabang Village, Madrigal Business Districts and other commercial centers, residential and other institutions.



Shopping Centers: Festival Mall, Alabang Town Center, Starmall, near SM Southmall Las Pinas, there are also South station, Fastbyte at Northgate, Westgate Center, Commerce Center, South Supermarket and The Filinvest Tent Commercial Block.
